Crane's Nest Creations, at Witches Hallow

I changed my slide show. . . to feature my upcoming fall line. Even though I haven't completed everything that is in the works, I thought I would give you a sneak preview of what I've been working on.
When this line started to roll in back in March of 2008, I started to draw pictures of things the universe was sending me. I decided on the name, "Witches Hallow" as a few things came to me inside of witch hats and so I preceded to draw them, start to cut them out and constructing them.
As time went on I printed off tags for the creations I had completed and arranged everything so that when it comes time to do craft fairs and such, all the pictures and packaging would be ready to go. The first show I will attend will be held on Sept. 20, A Day in he Country, in Rochester, WI. If you live close to Lake Geneva, Burlington area you might want to take an afternoon to join us there.
This month another well known crafter Dee Duncan of Old Glory Co., opened a new web site called Witches Hallow. I was mortified after all the work I had done to get my line together. And as in my last post as I mentioned, I will follow through and use the name of "Witches Hallow" for my fall line regardless and hope that she is understanding since I did not do this intentionally and it's only a 2008 fall line and not a store front. So Dee, with all do respect, I'm moving forward with this. She is a magnificent artist of whom I respect and admire greatly, I would never step on her toes in any way, but there are just so many things you can do to avoid duplicating and with fall being focused on Halloween for us primitive artists I am quite certain she will understand.
So enjoy the slide show and remember it is only part of what is completed thus far.
Happy Day to you and stay close for the rest of the fall release as it manifests.

Getting Ready for Fall Roll out

Wow! I've been working diligently to get ready for my new fall releases. I must admit that no matter how much I manifest to get to a point that I feel like I'm getting closer, the heat is on to finish the things I have in the works so far, which is 16 new pieces to add to my slide show. I named my fall slide show "Witches Hallow" Two months later, Dee from Old Glory Co. opened a new company called Witches Hallow. Will I use the name anyway? Absolutely! You know it's funny when your an artist and crafter as you struggle to come up with some new things that no one has done yet. You start off by drawing your ideas on paper, then the dreams start to come. You change things and come up with new ones that the universe is throwing out there, you get busy and start to do something, go surfing the net and find that someone just created and posted a picture of the same thing you just saw in your dreams just two nights ago. So I have to wonder, Why am I on snail mail here when it comes to receiving this information in a timely manner? Am I not moving fast enough? Well, sometimes that is true as I do work outside my home and must go off to work instead of stay home and just create. So, I came to the conclusion that even though the concept of the idea is the same, they don't altogether look the same and I will release it anyway. I should be done with my release by mid September so hang in there. . . it's on it's way.

Lucid Dreams, had any lately?

Lucid dreams, have you had any lately or are you unsure of what they are?
How can you make your dreams become your reality? Well, it takes some fine tuning but it can be accomplished. Have you ever had a Lucid Dream? Do you know what they are? Lucid dreams, simply put, are dreams that you have that you are aware of the fact that you are dreaming. It's like waking up in your dream, "Wow, I'm dreaming and I know this is a dream!" Do you or are you capable of directing your dreams, I mean, so that the outcome of the dream is exactly what you wanted it to be? It's an interactive dream, kind of like an interactive video game and you control the outcome. Lucid dreaming in a sense, is like living your dreams. It's the ultimate in visualization. Dream it, see it play out the way you would actually like to see something happen and then it becomes reality. Like your thoughts become things, so do your dreams, because we think about them in our awake time . This is really a lot of fun. Would you like to learn more? William Ember has this really cool e-course on learning to lucid dream. Just follow this link and check it out. He offers a free introductory e book explaining this whole course on Lucid Dreaming and what it can do for your life.

Two Week ends Left at Bristol Ren Faire

Wow, what a fast summer. I can hardly believe there are only two week ends left to the Bristol Faire. It has been a most memorable experience for me to be there this year. I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know so many wonderful and interesting people. The shoppe owners are awesome. The GM, Linda and the lady I work for Buffy, have been so good to me. They are such caring people to work for. I have been truly blessed with this opportunity and look forward to spending many more years at the Bristol Faire.
I will post again soon but for now I have to run. . . I am working on projects for a show in Rochester, WI on Sept 20th called "A Day in the Country" I will give you updates of that outing as well, just in case you would like to stop by. There will be other local artists there besides myself. Best part is it's only 8 miles from home. More to come. . .

Weekend Highlights at Bristol Renissance Faire

It's been an interesting couple of weeks at the Bristol Faire. The changing of the different shows is sometimes a sweet sorrow. Last weekend was the last of the Dead Bob show, the weekend before that Commonly Unbalanced left to go on to other faires as they travel the circuit and work all over the US. Our sister faire in upstate New York opened last weekend. It's always fun to see who will arrive to take that slot in time as the year unfolds with lots of fun and entertainment. Just outside my booth, which is the mask booth and the second shop to the right from the front gate, is "Ha, Penny Spitalsworth", the Earl of Bedlam. A fashionable man who has plenty of "nothing" to sell as he goes on with his routine and entertains the passing crowd and welcomes them to Bristol. What a character indeed! He brings many laughs and enriches mine and every one's spirit every weekend that he attends. There are many characters that move around the faire grounds and entertain the crowd with their idiosyncrasies and playing with the common folk, as the visitors are referred to as. In spite of today's economic crunch people are still enjoying themselves to a day at the Bristol Faire. The Fae at faire are absolutely beautiful as they interact with people as well and there is even a fairy village in the fairway. Parents and children alike have enjoyed partaking in the unique atmosphere of this extraordinary shopping experience, and the weather has been most kind to us this year as far as not too hot and not much rain. The shoppes are filled with an array of beautiful wares from Magical Wands, kaleidoscopes, toys, gifts, clothing, capes, shoes, books, hand blown glass, trinkets in oh so many shapes and sizes to hand made jewelry, masks, staffs, leather works and the list just goes on and on. It is truly an exceptional marketplace to fulfill your fantasies and gift giving for the holidays to come. With only 5 weeks left, as we close down after Labor Day Monday, September 1st, each and every weekend has been a true adventure. Hope to see you there. "Good day and Faire thee well", till next time. . .
