Cyber Monday is Tomorrow 11/30 but the Sales have started already

Cyber Monday is Tomorrow 11/30 but the Sales have started already today

What a great feeling to hear the little Ching Ching that is generated by the app on my phone from the ETSY app when I have a sale in my shop and EBay does the same thing.
Oh what fun, no matter where I am or whatever I am doing it tells me to pay attention as the universe is sending money from some terrific person that just bought something from me. It is truly what I live for and makes me act like a giddy child♥
All the packages are packaged, labeled and ready to be delivered to the post office first thing in the morning. I don't do a huge business by any means but every little bit sure helps especially this time of year with the utilities starting to rise.
I am looking to revamp my shop this winter to try to find a niche of things that really sell as it seems the same old is starting to give way to new innovations and I need to keep up with the trends. I just need to find out what it is everyone wants besides new electronics because I don't make those! (or find a real job, bite my tongue)
I am such a naturalist and love anything simple with no chemicals which is really hard to imagine what else I can do.
Primitive art is my love but there are so many Prim Artists now that I just don't know where else to turn to earn a living. Maybe I'll try some Boho Women's Garments since I just love weird and different clothes ( hippie chick)
I guess I will have to figure it out soon as I'm not getting any younger over here that's for sure.
Enjoy the season . . .

Oh, Sweet September

Almost Sweet September! My favorite time of the years wheel. When the sweet smells of the harvest start to fill the air and fall, in all it's magnificence, is just around the bend. When everything begins to change. The colors of the leaves, the mornings covered in dew, even the grass smells so sweet this time of year. Of course it all shows in the festivals that start to display the difference in colors from the rich greens and that of the flowers, to the dusty browns, oranges, spicy reds and yellows and grungy blacks. If I could live the colors of my life it would defiantly be the fall of the year. Ooo the sweet smell of cinnamon and pumpkin spice, apples galore. . .

The Bristol Renaissance Faire will come to a close next week end with the Labor Day Celebration so it will be yet another chapter completed. They will move into their 25th year as the "Bristol" Faire, so next summer should be one 9 week celebration in itself. How exciting!
As for me, the new moon takes me back, to the artistry that fills my head and busies my hands, keeping me in the moment as the next one unfolds. I will start to list those treasures on ebay by next week. . .

Harvest Vacation Tyme

Over the last couple of weeks I have been on vacation from my regular full time job and have had the pleasure of spending some much valued time with my best friend and business partner, Vicki, of Oak Ridge Primitives. Together we laughed until we cried, created some winter artwork and came up with many new ideas to help us build a quality line for this fall and winter. Vicki does the craft faires and markets during the weekends, we still sell most of our fall and winter line on eBay. This business has really meant allot to both of us, not only for the financial aspects of it but because we are able to brainstorm and come up with some really neat stuff. EBay allows us to showcase our creations and sell them all over the world which is something that we find most attractive as artists.

Our logo is "Where hand & Spirit come together" and I really have to say that the creations offered on our site are just that. We were talking just today and she asked me how I did the eyes on "Sonja" the snow flake girl, which I finished this morning. I told her, "You know, sometimes I just don't know how I'm going to do it and I push ideas around as if I'm talking to someone, then I sit down to accomplish it and that's exactly what happens, it gets accomplished, and sometimes I can't even say that I, personally am responsible for it." It's as if there is someone else working with my hands because I really don't know how I would come up with some of these things that I manage to do. And with much joy and gratitude I finish them and take pictures to get them listed on eBay for auction. Creating is truly a gift.

These last two weeks have been a wonderful reminder that "hand and Spirit" do work together and I am so grateful to be the vehicle of expression for spirit to work through. And so before I go back to the daily grind once again, I will finish the rest of my work and list them tomorrow.

On the left hand side of this blog there is a link to Oak Ridge Primitives eBay auction, please take the time to take a look. . .and enjoy our lives with us. . .
