DO I have to tell you that I am totally delighted to have been published this month
May 2014 Edition of Prim Magazine.
Oh my goodness!
I am thrilled to tears and just so honored for the invitation and publication of my work
I have been creating characters for many years, that which I sell either at craft shows, on my ETSY shop, Cranes Nest Creations and also seasonally on ebay.
I love Prim Magazine and have paged through this publication so many times in the past issues, excited for these artists, admiring their work and wondering if I could ever become good enough to be published.
You know how you just feel that you could never become as good as those artists that you see in magazines. I fear we all harbor too much insecurity! Until that one foggy day that I received an email invitation to submit my Uncle Sam Crow Knodder to the magazine for publication..
I had no idea what this entailed so called my Dear friend and asked her if she knew anything about this and to lend me some advise. She warned me of some scams that she had received of late so of course I took her advise and filed the email. A few weeks had past and I received yet another email, guiding me to submit this piece for publication again, so I started to do some homework on the issue.
After communicating with the publisher, who was very kind and most helpful in guiding me through the process of submission I sent off the requested piece and documents along with the return postage as they would return the piece to me.
Do I have to tell you what a wonderful day that was? Me, of all people I thought! Someone who creates because I love to be in that place of total absorption, Me, who thinks everyone else's work is so beautiful! Me who doesn't give myself the credit I deserve, even though I sure sell a pant load of stuff during the fall and winter months on ebay and my feedback is outstanding. Maybe it's just that I have been creating for so long that I have become numb to the compliments from all those wonderful people whom I assume are just being ever so kind.
What ever the reason that things unfold and happen in their own divine timing, I am most grateful and hold much appreciation for what I love to do in my spare time. It is truly a gift and I am so blessed
I thank you Prim Magazine for the opportunity to be published and to the wonderful editor that guided me like a guardian angel through the process.
I hope you get a chance to pick up a copy as there are many lovely creatures in the pages of this Americana addition of Prims Magazine. The link on the left side will take you to Stampington & Company so you may order a copy or enjoy their many other publications.
for now, many blessings and enjoy. . .
till next time. . .
