Our Comming Together
Well, the New Moon in Capricorn has brought a miracle in itself and provided a place for us, bringing forth much work ahead. We look forward to pooling our knowledge and outstanding talents to bring about an awesome shop.
Tamara has Essential Pleasures which is the metaphysical side of our nature with essential oils, herbs, goddess clothing and aromatherapy to enhance your being and connect you to mother earth. Vicki, has Springbrook Soap Co. which is all natural soap and body products, soy candles, tarts and warmers. And for Myself, Cranesnest Primitives will continue in my primitive artwork , antiques and vintage gatherings. Together under one roof, which used to be known as Pine Street Curiosities in Historic Burlington Wisconsin. We are excited about our new venture and look forward to many years together in this establishment meeting and making new friends with like interests. There exists a spiritual overflow that has brought us all together to work and learn from each other in this special place across the street from the Scifi Cafe, where the Sutherland's teach people about the vortexes and spirits that guide us along through our lives and go, mostly unnoticed by the humans they encounter.
Here's a sneek peek at the inside of our shop. We are still in transition of moving the other propritor out and us in but we'll be there to greet you when you arrive.
Happy New Year to all of you, hope to see you there. . .My wish for you. .
May all your dreams come into full manifestation in 2009

Essential Pleasure Inc. in historic Burlington, WI
In the midst of the Christmas holiday season our dreams have come into full fruition. It looks like our manifesting for a shop, with an awning over the door has now been located in historic Burlington, WI. Wow, I just can not even tell you of the excitement I have on this day, to see the pictures of this shop and know that the miracle of manifestation has come into reality.
Vicki and I have been manifesting for this shop for almost a year. The picture I drew sits on my desk and I look at it everyday. . . Now I am able to look at it in full manifested form and what a magnificent feeling it is. This came about through a wonderful entity called Tamara. She worked as a store clerk in a shop in Antioch, Il. where Vicki sells her soaps and body products. She always wanted a place of her own, as so many of us do, and now the three of us together, will realize our dream. And what a perfect place. It is located at 557 N. Pine St. in historic Burlington, WI. Tamara mixes essential oils and makes her own brand of soap also. So our shop will be a mixture of talents. We are so excited and so blessed to have found each other with this opportunity of bringing our talents together. I can not even tell you what this means to us.
Getting to our shop, it will be a mixture of metaphysical supplies, essential oils and aromatherapy, natural soaps and body products, home goods, antiques, primitive art, candles, room sprays, diffusers and list goes on. There will be something for everyone and maybe even a few consignments like horse hair pottery from a local potter and art from some local artists. What ever we come across will be a real pleasure and total adventure in the making.
A tidbit from Tarot.com address analyzer:
Address: 557
This is a number 8 address.
This address inspires stability, ambition, financial growth, authority and uncompromising drive. This is the ideal location for a single adult or a family with material comfort as a high priority. Status quo and conventional lifestyles. The 8 also inspires strength of character and tends to improve the health of those who live there (strengthens the body). The best possible address for career or business oriented people. Also good for large families.
Strengthen the positive influence of this address with: Strong colors, especially greens and browns. Big furniture; big couches, chairs, side tables, etc. Large windows, open spaces, fire place.
So I will leave you today with the thought of "what are you manifesting in your life lately?" The holidays bring us to the close of one year and into the next chapter of our lives. The year 2009 is to be a transition point for all of us ~ I pray that you all find what you have been searching for. . .
until next time, God bless you,
with love and light. . .

Etsy Warns New Legistration Harms Craftspeople
Etsy Warns New Legislation Harms Craftspeople |
By: Ina Steiner |
Wed Dec 10 2008 22:49:11 |
Etsy, the online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods, issued an open letter warning of the unintended consequences new legislation could impose on some members of its community. "Many Etsy artists and craftspeople have expressed fears that they won't be able stay in business due to the burdensome cost of testing and certification pursuant to the proposed legislation." Etsy urged members of its community to contact their governmental representatives to ask them to consider how the Act will impact independent craftspeople. The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) imposes an additional third-party testing requirement for all consumer products primarily intended for children twelve years of age or younger. Every manufacturer (including an importer) or private labeler of a children's product must have its product tested by an accredited independent testing lab and, based on the testing, must issue a certificate that the product meets all applicable CPSC requirements, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. Etsy's letter explained, "Etsy wanted to reach out with this open letter to see what can be done to ensure that small businesses and micro enterprises are being taken into account with this legislation. Our members would like to better understand how the CPSIA took into account these smaller businesses operating with fewer resources for testing and compliance. We believe Etsy artisans are pro-testing and pro-safety; the problem is the prohibitive certification costs relative to their small businesses' incomes. Our community is concerned that this legislature disregards small businesses in its attempts to regulate large corporate entities." The WalletPop blog posted an interesting reaction to the legislation, stating that "all toymakers must pay a testing fee of $4,000 per type of toy they make, as well as permanently labeling them with a batch number and date (requiring them to create new molds in many cases)." |
Comments (19) | Permalink This will definitely harms many women I know since we craft to earn extra income to support ourselves. This article in Ina Steiners Auctionbits is a shocker to many of us, whom since the pay scale is higher for men than women we can not support ourselves without our craft sales. Even though I do not create anything for children with the exception of baby quilts, I find this action most upsetting. The government doesn't take care of us yet they impose this kind of junk upon us. Enough of the manipulation and corruption. What ever happened to freedom to choose. |
December 12 — The Full Cold Moon
Sky watchers will be dazzled by an exceptionally high, bright, and large Moon. In fact, this Moon is 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full Moons this year. Why? The Moon is both in its full phase and at a point in its orbit that is nearest Earth, called its perigee. When these events occur together, the Moon is closer to Earth than usual. The effect? The Full Cold Moon will appear especially large near the horizon as the Sun sets.
The Moon is also high at this time of year; when it's overhead (near midnight), it will light up the landscape. Take a magical stroll and see your world at night. You won't need a flashlight!
This full moon is in Gemini this year which marks and highlights manifestations. Keep an upbeat attitude and laugh things off if situations become tricky. The trick is to think like a Gemini even if you are not one. This next new moon brings what you have been wishing for, so be careful what you wish for as you just might get it.
On a spiritual note: 12-12 opens new doorways and you will begin to feel that the polarity and resistance is starting to lift from your life. The time of martyrism is at rest and we are moving into the greatness of our futures, the Christ consciousness, in which we do not have to give anything up anymore. We can move forward and manifest our dreams into our reality with little effort. If you would like to know more about this subject visit www.urielheals.com and learn about how the energy of our planet is moving forward in this shift of consciousness. You can sign up for the newsletter and receive a weekly update in the shift of consciousness being offered by Jennifer Hoffman, who is an intuitive and channels Archangel Uriel. She is awesome. She also has a blog talk radio program on Wednesday nights where you may receive free readings.
Merry Christmas to all, God bless

Cranesnest is creating for Oakridgeprims on Ebay
Wow, it's been quite the adventure creating for Oakridgeprims on Ebay.
Sales have been awesome and the time is just slipping by in my attempt to keep up with the demand. In years prior there was such an huge variety on Ebay and looks to me that many of the artists have taken their business elsewhere. The volume of primitive craft is not there anymore, they have gone off into other ways of selling and the auctions are not what they used to be. I really can't complain though, sales have been very good for us at Oakridgeprims and it's been so much fun.
I am looking forward to the quiet time after the holidays and the inauguration is done with, and the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season will come to a close. I will then get back into the meditation series that I love to run in my blog and find some interesting ways to help you to come back to spirit. Which is really what keeps me doing the artsy stuff as I do believe that it comes from spirit and I know a peacefulness there that I don't reach anywhere else in my life.
Tomorrow, Thanksgiving is the new moon and I am so excited to see what this next 13 year cycle will bring about. It will be a day of family gatherings, and a much opinionated one, so watch out what you wish for, as your thoughts become things.
Have a most Happy Thanksgiving, since we all have so much to be thankful for. . .

Oakridge Prims on ebay
Well, I have to say. . .
Oakridge Prims on ebay is doing an out standing job at turning sales with much positive feedback. There is such a fast turn over in items that it is a challenge to stay on top of creating and listing. I have been totally consumed with the flow and sales on this venture and have to admit, the ebay bug is fun. To sit and watch the watchers add up and the bidding wars on Sunday afternoons, it's like the best game ever. Then to list all the new items on Sunday after the bidding stops, shipping on Monday , working on all the new projects for your next Sunday listings and zoom the week is gone again. What fun. . . this is the latest in Primitive Prairie dresses I created this week. They just fly off the shelves, We can't make them fast enough and poof they are gone.
Take a look at some of the uniquie items in my slide show above that have been created and sold, so fast sometimes it makes your head spin. With fun stocking stuffers like Homespun Rock Christmas Candy to the santa and snowman cupboard dolls. It's so much fun.
Here's to another great week. . .

Today's Full Beaver Moon
Just a quick tid bit on why todays full moon is called the beaver moon. It is the mark of the freeze. The Algonquin Indians would hunt beaver on this full moon to insure that they had warm furs for the winter months.
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bee's No fruit, no flowers, no leaves, no bird's!. . . No. . vember

Reality Check
Well, it's over. . . the election that is. And I truly think we can all look forward to things starting to move ahead instead of the standstill we have been at for the last 8 years. With an all new administration, I feel that the economy among other things is about to turn around. Obama certainly has his work cut out for him.
Speaking of work, Wow Oakridge Prims on ebay has really been keeping Vicki and I jumping this last month. We keep listing and selling and making more and listing and selling. Sundays have been a frenzy of getting things listed and watching the page go green again. It has been really awesome and we thank each and everyone of you that has brought that about for us. I haven't worked this hard since Thanksgiving at Bakers Square. (yuk!) It's been a real inspiration and just goes to show you that when enough people believe in a positive notation that anything cane turn around.(pictured above is one of my most recent creations)
With that in mind, have you done any meditating on where you would like to see yourself 5 years from now? I think we should just all close our eyes for 5 minuets and give thanks to the universe for this positive change and embrace the future with a new found enlightenment. Not only on a nations standpoint but as individuals and start to bring the healing of ourselves and our planet forward. To become one as was always intended in the eyes of God. Start your day and end your nights giving thanks and feeling the gratitude for all the wonderful blessings in our lives

An Artist's Creations
An artists creations is where the hand and soul come together,to join forces and create through spirit.
As we come to the ending of the year, I sit back with a child like wonder. . . as I have begun to review the last year and couple of months since moving to this location and while thinking about all the things I have created, all the books I have read, all the studies I have endured and the enormous growth in my spiritual life, there is a peacefulness and gratitude that wells up inside of me and fills me with so much love for every single little life around me. A knowing that for the first time in my life I am fulfilled. There are many things that have gone astray like loved ones and friends, favorite belongings I parted with, a run in with my employer and the law. But somehow, even in the face of so much uncertainty in this world I have found an inner peace that keeps me in a place that is unafraid and tranquil. At the top of this page there is a slide show of the things I have created this year and thank god most of them have been sold. Others will get packed away until next years ceremonial events of the seasons and I will again peddle them in hopes of selling those treasures. But for now, looking back I have had a very prosperous year indeed. Besides the financial end of things I have grown immensely as well. Through the meditations I have shared with my readers and studies I have indulged in, my life has finally started to open new door ways for me. I have forgiven and grown past the hurts that life offers us to allow us the opportunities to grow into the person we always wanted to be. To have come along far enough to be able to help others reach their spiritual and self growth as well, for which I am most grateful. Being an artist is something that I truly love with all my being and to be able to share it with so many people is a wonderful gift. We have taken so much for granted in our lives as Americans and we forget, most of the time to say thank you to the forces of nature, God, or what ever you care to call it, on a daily basis. We have so much to be grateful for in our everyday lives. We forget that we are powerful beings of light having a human experience and when we get back to that part of it, it is truly a magnificent experience to feel love, anger, fear, emotion in itself because those emotions are messages from the higher ups looking after us and warning us of the dramas that about to unfold. Living a creative life has opened me to all those things I had long forgotten and appreciated when I was a child. The beauty of this lifetime far surpasses anything I could ever imagine on my own. . . and so again I say "Thank you"

Are you still Manifesting?
Let's just think about the manifesting process for a moment. What are you focusing on? How many times have you changed your mind about what you want? Well, let me explain this to you so you will understand this process. First let's say you are wanting this house in the woods, it is like you are sending the universe a mental note to create this house in the woods. So the forces start to move in that direction, just as you see it in your mind's eye. This log cabin nestled among the trees of the forest which overlooks a cliff with the meadows below. Okay then all of a sudden you think Oh! a house on the waterfront is what I would like and you start thinking away about the house and the views. Now, the universe stops it's work on the house nestled in the trees overlooking the cliff and focuses on the waterfront property and house you are imaging today. So the workers stop working on the house in the woods and go all the way to the waterfront to start work on that house for you. How long do suppose it is going to take that crew to finish one of these houses if you are going to keep sending them back and forth. Right, forever, so you need to be specific in what you want and commit to it. Setting your goals and preferences are the first and most important part of seeing them unfold in front of you.
So let's meditate on this. . .
- Sit in a comfortable position and take a deep breath holding it in
- release your breath, and take in another, repeat this a few times as you start to feel yourself become relaxed
- Now concentrate on your breath, in and out, feeling more and more relaxed
- Now imagine in your mind where you want to be in the next three years, is it in a homey cabin the the woods or a lakefront home on the beach, wherever you want to be
- See it in your minds eye in full detail right down to the smallest detail
- Feel how it feels to be there, how it smells and the happiness it brings you to know that you are there, right where you want to be. Feel the gratitude and well being that comes with living the life you desire, enjoy this for while
until next time. . .

FNWL Opposes the FDA Globalization Act of 2008
FNWL Opposes the FDA Globalization Act of 2008
"As an American.... as a mother.... as a health conscious individual.... as a citizen concerned about the economy.... as a business owner who started from home.... and as a supplier who promotes the handcrafted skin care industry everyday, I strongly oppose the FDA Globalization Act of 2008 in its current form. The proposed act was clearly not prepared with the whole cosmetic industry in mind. The small business sector has been grossly overlooked. That is NOT the American way, nor it is good for the American economy! The high, flat fee structure is unfair to those who have worked so hard to establish themselves in business and are just starting to mature as businesses. Small business owners have dedicated their time and resources to develop their knowledge, their products and their businesses so they can secure their futures and improve the lives of their children. Countless numbers of these artisans will be forced to go out of business if this act is passed without fair regard for their ability to pay the proposed registration fees. I'm sure that each and every one of us opposing this act can appreciate having regulations in place to protect the consumer, but surely the registration fees could be tailored to fit company revenues. Implementing a high fee structure will eliminate most, if not all, small businesses, allow the existing giants to monopolize the industry, halt the creative spin that handcrafters tend to set off within the industry and eliminate the birth of businesses like Carol's Daughter, a small company that took spark in a kitchen."
"As a supplier of ingredients to the cosmetic industry, my husband and I are well aware of how large, well branded companies make product. They cut costs, they cut ingredients and they go for label claims (1% is all it takes!). Their packaging is more expensive than the product in it and their definition of quality is questionable. Small businesses, on the other hand, are acutely aware of the need for high quality, chemical free alternatives for people who suffer from skin sensitivities and choose to use premium quality ingredients. Without the passion and dedication of small businesses, like our customers, we would not have a choice to buy high quality, conscientiously crafted, AMERICAN MADE products. I want the choice to choose!"

Are your thought proccesses leading you to success or failure?
I have been telling clients about a upcoming brainwave
entrainment program engineered by a certified
entrainment specialist, in the past days.
What's brainwave entrainment you say?
It's a safe and effective way to alter your
thought processes—the key to your success and
failure.
You see, the patterns of your thought can be
measured and can be analyzed to determine if your
thought processes will lead you to success or
failure. Are your thoughts organized—which lead
to attainment of your desires—or are they
scattered?
The answer will either free you... or... condemn you
to a life of frustration and lack of fulfillment.
Thousands now have discovered the awesome power
of "definiteness of purpose". They've learned
about the law of attraction. They understand that
if they just focus on a particular goal or
vision—they’ll achieve it.
But that’s where the problem actually begins.
The problem is, people know "what" they're
supposed to do... but...they don't know "how" to do
it. Well, the answer lies in your thought
processes.
If your thoughts are organized... you’re either
successful...or well on your way. If your thoughts
are disorganized... unfortunately, you're condemned
to a life of frustration...
Until now!
The days of frustration and anger are gone. With
scientific evidence backing up this program, my
friend, Song Chenxiang and his partner Morry
Melcovitch (the only certified brainwave
entrainment engineer making self-development
programs) has released a total solution
to personal brainwave entrainment.
The price is reasonable—less than a cup of coffee
a day. And the results you’ll get are amazing.
Remember: As a first-time customer,you will get
a very special deal:

Fall, a festive time of year
In light of all this slowing down, it's a very good time to think about meditation if you do not meditate on a daily basis, then maybe you could give it a try. This is a very good time of year, before the hustle and bustle of the holidays to enroll in a class or take the time to read about it. Meditation soothes the soul and relieves stress. It helps you to connect to your higher self and calm your nerves. The benefits of meditation are remarkable and a way for you to enjoy this slower time of the year, when you have time to find comfort and give thanks for all you have in your life, your life goes more smoothly.

Encounters with Spirit, Watch and listen
Well, by 7:30am we arrived at the grounds to set up for the craft fair. The day went very well financially and we thoroughly enjoyed a day filled with music, fun and laughter. Our artwork was so well received by this small community that they asked us to attend again next year as they loved our presentation and the primitive art that we supplied for their fair.
So just maybe the pure white does appearance in my life was a preempt to the awesome day I was about to experience. A blessing of sorts. Or was it an angel? I'll leave that for you to decide. I just had to share this with you.

Intuitive Health
The New Memory Chapter by Dr. Mona Lisa Schultz explains all the changes we go through not only physically but emotionally and spiritually. She also has a book called The Intuitive Adviser, which explains how stress in our lives causes what seems to be physical problems.
Some of the herbs you can take to help you with disorders of the eyes are Antioxidants, grape seed extract, vitamins E, A, C. You see the older you get the less collagen your body produces, so your eyes start to dry out, the lenses start to cloud. These vitamins help your eyes to stay lubricated and free of free radicals that effect you eye sight.
In the mean time let's focus on a chakra clearing to balance the 7th chakra, The Crown chakra.
An opening of the Crown Chakra will bring a balance
- So, let us sit with our legs bent, feet comfortably crossed at the ankles, spine extended, shoulders down away from the ears, eye closed or downcast.
- Extend your arms to the side with fingertips touching the floor
- Inhale and raise both arms above your head. Bring the fingertips together above your head
- Turn the palms out as you exhale and lower your arms, bringing the fingertips back to the floor
- Repeat this motion in coordination with your breathing as you visualize white light, universal energy streaming from the crown of your head and surrounding your entire being
- Continue inhaling and exhaling, your arms up and down for at least three minuets.
The benefits are that it increases the flow of oxygen throughout the body
Cleanses the blood and stimulates the nervous system and balances your glandular system
Tones abdominal muscles and strengthens the diaphragm
Helps balance and move energy throughout the body
and helps to strengthen the aura which connects you to the spiritual realm
I hope you enjoyed this short meditation and clearing of the Crown Chakra. Please take a look at Dr. Mona Lisa's web sight to learn more about helping your eye sight in her book, Intuitive Advisor. It's a true gem. You can reach Hay House here on my site and receive a 20% discount on item you purchase from them
Have a healthful day. . .

A Day in the Country
Our first show of the season was a beautiful day. "A Day in the Country " was placed in the small town of Rochester, WI. just outside of Burlington and what a beautiful day it was. I just barely got the stuff out of the truck when a lady ran over to me and said "I want the Harvest Queens and a black Witchey Prairie dress", then while I was setting up I had another man, who owns a shop in Ohio, rush over and purchase 4 Witches prairie dresses, the whole day was filled with people coming into the tent, smelling the essential oils, remarking on how wonderful it all smells. Even those who did not purchase stood with a smile and sense of wonder on their faces as they gleamed at the works of art placed before them. Some not ready for the Halloween season as of yet, others ready to dig in, as the Fall equinox was just around the bend, were ready to jump in with both feet. The day was filled with laughter and a sense of the seasonal adjustment that was about to take place. There were antique dealers, soapers, crafters of all kinds, music of blue grass and country filled the air as the vintage and antique cars roamed the main street getting ready for the car show. All in all the day was remarkable and when the show was over I felt tired of course but filled with the beaming light of love and sentiment as I rolled out of town, thanking the universe for the wonderful people I met and how much this event enriched my life. The drive home was filled with the fall air and the beauty of the farming communities that I so love to be close to. A Day in the Country, in short, was a soulful day, filled with enjoyment and beautiful memories that I will carry with me through the winter and then some.

A Day filled with Balance
Sit in a quiet place free from TV, phones and the distractions of the world around you. Close your eyes and breath in deeply and slowly in through your nose to the count of five. Filling your entire diaphragm with air. Envision the air being of white light, filling your lungs and belly with cleansing white light. Hold it to the slow count of five and exhale through your mouth to a slow count of five. While exhaling, envision the air coming out of your mouth as gray air, watch all the toxins being released from your body as you exhale. Now, do it again. Breath in through your nose, seeing the white cleansing light filling your body with clean air to the count of five. Hold it to the slow count of five and exhale, seeing the gray toxins leaving you again to the count of five. Now while breathing in you are going to see the white light surrounding your feet and ankles, feel the tension leaving your feet and ankles as you exhale. Inhaling again seeing the white light rising to your calves and surrounding them with white healing light, you feel them relax and release all tensions as you exhale. Now inhale again, the white light is traveling up around your knees, releasing all the tensions, keep going, up to the thighs, feel the white light release all the tensions in your entire legs now. Fully relaxed. While taking in yet another deep healing breath feel the white light fill your abdomen, pelvic girdle all the way up to your torso, exhale and feel all the muscles relax and tingle. Keep going, breath in and fill your chest all the way to your shoulders and as you exhale, feel the relaxation throughout your entire body. Now your neck, arms, all the way to the tips of your fingers, feel the white light cleanse and relax all the muscles, relieving you of all the tension while you exhale. Now around your head, face, sinus passages, ears, throat, behind your eyes, your jaw and to the top of your head, taking in healing white light, feel all the pressures just fade away. Breath normal now enjoying the pleasure of this full relaxation, this healing gift from god and the universe. Allow yourself to feel grateful for all the wonderful things in your life, your health, the people you love, your ability to heal yourself, this gift of total relaxation. Stay focused on your breath so that your mind does not wander. Now is there something you seek answers to? Throw them out there and then quiet your mind again and listen.
I do this before I go to sleep at night. It helps me to relax from the days tensions and to give thanks for all the wonders in my life. When you practice this often enough, you will begin to find that you are able to bring yourself to this place with little effort any time you need to shut down for two to three minuets during a stressfull day. Pretty soon, you will be able to command your body to relax but it does take practice. It takes time to train your body to do anything so don't get discouraged if you don't get there right away. Keep working on it, you'll accomplish not only relaxation but a whole lot more once you are trained. Meditation can happen spontaneously with practice.
I'll leave you with this, work on it as the benefits far surpass the time it takes to learn to relax.
I hope your day was a wonderful as mine. Bliss to you

Fall Equinox, Time for a Grounding Meditation
Ahh, sweet fall, the harvest of grains and corn, pumpkins, squash and all the things we associate with this time of year. Soon we will experience the fall equinox which is a time of even balance between the light and dark. September 22, starts the fall season this year. Balance begins with grounding of the root chakra and represents our sense of security. Through the balance of this chakra, you will feel in tune with the earths balance, so lets start this season with allowing ourselves to become balanced with the earth and our surroundings along with our inner selves.
Grounding Meditation
Focus on the vibration of the Root Chakra, the sound of "O" (like- so) Chant this sound silently three times.
- Stand with your feet about hip-width apart, arms at your sides or extended out in front of you, palms down, eyes closed or down cast
- Inhale deeply
- Exhale and gently bend the knees a few inches. Inhale and straighten the knees
- Continue slowly bending and straightening your legs, feel yourself becoming more grounded. Surrender to the support of Mother Earth
- Continue for one to five minuets
- When complete, remain standing or sit comfortably if you prefer
- Close your eyes and focus on the following thoughts
I am safe and secure
Benefits:
- Promotes grounding and a sense of profound physical connection to the earth
- calms and clears the mind
- slows respiration and heart rate

The Full Harvest Moon , Fall Equinox and Mabon
Mabon is the time of the autumn equinox, when the harvest finally winds down. September’s full moon, the Harvest Moon, will fall on September 15th, early this year and has a special place in our agricultural history. Through most of the year, the moon rises each day about 50 minutes later than the day before. However, when the autumnal equinox approaches, the difference in rise times drops to about 25 to 30 minutes and even farther north, the difference is 10 to 15 minutes. As the Harvest Moon rises after sunset, this provides extra minutes of light each evening for farmers to work longer hours harvest their crops. Today, the Harvest Moon relates to the full moon which falls closest to the Fall equinox, which falls on Sept 22nd. With advanced farming techniques and electric lights, it is not as important because to farmers today as in the past. It may be more important to some for religious purposes. The Harvest Moon can land anywhere between September 8 and October 7. The Harvest Moon is no ordinary full moon; it behaves in a special way. Throughout the year the Moon rises, on average, about 50 minutes later each day. But near the autumnal equinox, the day-to-day difference in the local time of moonrise is only 30 minutes. The Moon will rise around sunset, and not long after sunset for the next few evenings. That comes in handy for northern farmers who are working long days to harvest their crops before autumn. The extra dose of lighting afforded by the full Moon closest to the equinox is what gives the Harvest Moon its name. In the southern hemisphere, this week's full Moon behaves in exactly the opposite way: there will be an extra long time between moon rises from one evening to the next. Try looking at the Moon when it's rising in the east. You might notice something funny: the low-hanging Moon looks very big. This is a trick of the eye known as the E.T. Harvest Moon.
A Time of Positive and Negative Energy Mabon is one of those times of year that affect people in different ways. For some, it's a season to honor the darker aspects of the goddess, calling upon that which is devoid of light. For others, it's a time of thankfulness, of gratitude for the abundance we have at the season of harvest. No matter how you see it, Mabon is traditionally a time of balance. After all, it's one of the two times each year that has equal amounts of darkness and daytime. Because this is, for many people, a time of high energy, there is sometimes a feeling of restlessness in the air, a sense that something is just a bit "off". If you're feeling a bit spiritually lopsided, with this simple meditation you can restore a little balance into your life. Now that fall is here, why not do an autumn version of Spring Cleaning? Get rid of any emotional baggage you're dragging around with you. Accept that there are darker aspects to life, and embrace them, but don't let them rule you. Understand that a healthy life finds balance in all things. I decorate my home with colorful autumn leaves, acorns, small pumpkins, and other symbols of the season. I like to go outside for a bon-fire: But if your forced to stay inside you can always use candles, one white and one black which signifies the evenness of day and night. I light the candles and meditate on the following. .
Mabon Balancing Meditation
A balance of night and day, a balance of light and dark
Tonight I seek balance in my life as it is found in the Universe.
A black candle for darkness and pain and things I can eliminate from my life.
A white candle for the light, and for joy and all the abundance I wish to bring forth.
At Mabon, the time of the equinox,
there is harmony and balance in the Universe,
and so there shall be in my life.
Meditate on the things you wish to change. Focus on eliminating the bad, and strengthening the good around you. Put toxic relationships into the past, where they belong, and welcome new positive relationships into your life. Let your baggage go, and take heart in knowing that for every dark night of the soul, there will be a sunrise the next morning.

Today's Blessings
In my next few posts I will be going back to the subject of meditation, clearing of chakras and healing energies through meditation. With the harvest season just around the corner with the next full moon on the 18th, we will slowly start our fall reduction of activity and a really good time to evaluate ourselves in our journey. Until then. . . bliss to you

Crane's Nest Creations, at Witches Hallow
When this line started to roll in back in March of 2008, I started to draw pictures of things the universe was sending me. I decided on the name, "Witches Hallow" as a few things came to me inside of witch hats and so I preceded to draw them, start to cut them out and constructing them.
As time went on I printed off tags for the creations I had completed and arranged everything so that when it comes time to do craft fairs and such, all the pictures and packaging would be ready to go. The first show I will attend will be held on Sept. 20, A Day in he Country, in Rochester, WI. If you live close to Lake Geneva, Burlington area you might want to take an afternoon to join us there.
This month another well known crafter Dee Duncan of Old Glory Co., opened a new web site called Witches Hallow. I was mortified after all the work I had done to get my line together. And as in my last post as I mentioned, I will follow through and use the name of "Witches Hallow" for my fall line regardless and hope that she is understanding since I did not do this intentionally and it's only a 2008 fall line and not a store front. So Dee, with all do respect, I'm moving forward with this. She is a magnificent artist of whom I respect and admire greatly, I would never step on her toes in any way, but there are just so many things you can do to avoid duplicating and with fall being focused on Halloween for us primitive artists I am quite certain she will understand.
So enjoy the slide show and remember it is only part of what is completed thus far.
Happy Day to you and stay close for the rest of the fall release as it manifests.

Lucid Dreams, had any lately?
How can you make your dreams become your reality? Well, it takes some fine tuning but it can be accomplished. Have you ever had a Lucid Dream? Do you know what they are? Lucid dreams, simply put, are dreams that you have that you are aware of the fact that you are dreaming. It's like waking up in your dream, "Wow, I'm dreaming and I know this is a dream!" Do you or are you capable of directing your dreams, I mean, so that the outcome of the dream is exactly what you wanted it to be? It's an interactive dream, kind of like an interactive video game and you control the outcome. Lucid dreaming in a sense, is like living your dreams. It's the ultimate in visualization. Dream it, see it play out the way you would actually like to see something happen and then it becomes reality. Like your thoughts become things, so do your dreams, because we think about them in our awake time . This is really a lot of fun. Would you like to learn more? William Ember has this really cool e-course on learning to lucid dream. Just follow this link and check it out. He offers a free introductory e book explaining this whole course on Lucid Dreaming and what it can do for your life.

Manifesting Your Dreams
There is a hard way to get what you want and there is an easy way. Which one would you like to choose? The answer is obvious, everybody wants the easy way, but most people are not even aware the easy way truly exists. Most of us have been told, since the moment we were born, that in order to succeed in life, we have to work hard and struggle. It has been said"no pain, no gain". For most people, life is just a long series of struggles. If that is what you feel, I have good news for you; there is an easy way, which leads to your ultimate destiny in the most stress free manner. Listen carefully, because this is going to determine whether your life is fulfilling, happy and stress free, which means a high quality of living. Here is the ultimate secret of the universe"Change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change."Pay special attention to these words, and really think about what they mean. Yes, I hear what you are saying. You have heard it a million times. Everybody knows it. If this is what you are thinking, I must warn you not to take these words lightly. I can tell you 90% of people read these words, and don't understand what they truly mean. You can tell by simply watching their lives. If you are not living a happy fulfilled life RIGHT NOW, I can tell you"you do not truly understand these words". Then let's get down to the deep understanding of this golden rule of success.
We are living in a material world, which is made up of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which in turn are made up of sub-atomic particles. These sub-atomic particles act at our commands and come into existence only when we observe it. Let's see what scientists have to say about these amazing building blocks of this world. The sub-atomic particle is a kind of wave packet, which can be in the state of wave and particle simultaneously. We describe a particle by its location, and we describe a wave by its momentum. However, the sub-atomic particle can exist as a particle and a wave at the same time. This sounds very counter intuitive, but it is true. Either the sub-atomic particle becomes a particle or a wave. It depends on how you measure it. If you decide to measure it by its location, it becomes a particle instantly, if you decide to measure by its momentum, it becomes a wave instantly. It all depends on how we measure (or how we observe) it.
Deepak Chopra in his new book, "Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire", described a thought experiment by Erwin Schrodinger. Imagine you have a closed box that contains a wave-particle, a cat, a lever, and a bowl of cat food with a loose lid. If the wave-particle becomes a particle, the particle will trip the lid, and the cat will eat. If the wave-particle becomes a wave, the lid will remain on the food. When we open the box (making an observation), we will either see an empty bowl and a happy cat or a full bowl and a hungry cat. It all depends on how we observe. Before we open the box, the bowl is both empty and full, and the cat is both fed and hungry. Both possibilities exist at the same time.
Deepak says "It is the observation alone that turns possibility into reality."The whole point is that the basic building block of the material world acts at our command. At the very moment of our observation, it comes into existence. We are the creator of our world. Nothing will exist without our observation. How does that relate to manifesting your desires? Well, it has everything to do with manifesting your desires. Why does our life seem like a struggle? Why don't we get the money we want? Why don't we get the relationship that we always desire to have? Why is our life filled with along list of never-ending problems? All of these are because of our habitual way of observing the world. We have been conditioned that what we are seeing is the reality, and we continue to live this way and continue to observe the same things happening in our lives.
So. . . Let me tell you, your reality is not reality. Only you choose and observe it to be your reality. As soon as you realize your own observation is the cause of everything, then you can decide to create another reality literally. You can decide to observe another reality into your world.
So you ask, "How do you do it? " First, don't allow your outer world to elude you, knowing that this is not necessarily the reality.
Secondly, observe exactly what you want in your mind, observe it with certainty and clarity, and then let go. Knowing that you have already created your desires at the quantum level, you simply let the universe arrange for it to come to you. When the opportunities come, don't forget to take action and express your gratitude. Everything begins with you changing the way you look at your world.
Remember "Change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change.". . . . Try to change your prospective on how you look at your world and be grateful for the things you do have in your world. . . till next time

Where You Can Party Like it's 1599!
I will be exploring a new venture on the week ends this year. During the summer months, July 5th through Labor Day Sept 5th, I will be working at The Bristol Renaissance Faire, in the mask booth. Even though I will not be selling any of my own art, it is an opportunity to explore the faire, make some interesting new friends and learn how it all works from a merchants view point. I am really looking forward to this, I have been an avid faire goer for many years and I am most interested in opening my own shop there. Faire is a place where all the merchants hand made and sold their wares during this time of festivals. Most still make their own and others purchase hand crafted items and sell them at the Renaissance Faires. The atmosphere is a total adventure in itself. Being greeted in a true Elizabethan style
where fantasy rules. Join us for a day of fun. . . tis a magical place!
Where you can party like it's 1599!
Every Faire day recreates a time when knights were noble, maids were merry, and turkey legs, titanic. Once you enter the portal gates, you travel back in time to the year 1574, and you've walked right into an exciting village festival day. And what are we celebrating? Queen Elizabeth, Herself, is visiting Bristol! It's time to eat, drink and be merry! Revelry is the order of the day!
For 9 glorious weekends starting in early July, each Saturday and Sunday, plus Labor Day Monday, visitors take a rollicking romp through Elizabethan England, complete with 16th Century games, rides, arts, crafts, food, music and one-of-a-kind encounters with a spectacular cast of characters. The Faire boasts a beautiful 30-acre site with open-air stages featuring Swordfighters, Minstrels and Jesters. Meet Robin Hood or Queen Elizabeth, in person! All entertainment is included in the price of admission.
Nearly 200 artisans display their wares in the Bristol Faire Marketplace. Potters, glass blowers, jewelers and forgers busily go about their work, as shoppers discover rare finds around every corner. Offerings range from sterling silver jewelry, hand-thrown pottery and fine crafted leather works to hickory walking sticks, rich tapestries to hammered pewter.
Easy to find - just west of I-94 at the Illinois/Wisconsin border, the Faire is open Saturdays and Sundays and Labor Day Monday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine, from July 5 through September 1, 2008.

Chakra Mediation
Chin Press Breath
- Sit with the spine comfortably extended. Eyes closed
- Inhale to the count of 5, hold it to 3, exhale completely. Inhale through the nose to the count of 5, hold it to 3, exhale through the mouth
- Lift the breastbone and press your chin into your chest while inhaling. Suspend the breath for 3 to 5 seconds
- Lift your chin from your chest while you exhale through the mouth allowing the breath to pass through the vocal cords accompanied by sound (ahhhh)
- Repeat the movement several times in coordination with the breath
- Visualize cleansing crystal clear blue energy opening the gateway to true communication
- Continue for one to three minuets
"I am able to hear the voice of my soul"
Benefits;
- stimulates the thyroid and regulates metabolism
- stretches the muscles at the back of the neck to release tension
- improves willpower and concentration
- promotes a sense of inner peace
This is a marvelous meditation before going on a job interview or meeting with clients as it helps you to clear the throat chakra and focus on your communication skills. I find it helpful to prerecord a meditation in your own voice as you go through it, this enables you to use the tape as a guided meditation so you don't have to memorize it. The easier it is, the more use you'll make of it until it becomes second nature to you.
I hope you enjoyed this meditation and use it often. till next time. . .
with love and light
